The American Soybean Association-International Marketing (ASA-IM) Japan (Country Director: LaVerne E. Brabant; ASA-IM Minato Ward, Tokyo) is pleased to announce a soy foods restaurant promotion beginning February 9 through March 10, 2009 in the greater Tokyo Metropolitan Area in collaboration with "Gourmet Navigation" (President: Seiichi Kubo; Headquarters: Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo), which is Japan’s largest gourmet network website of more than 50,000 restaurants and 720,000,000 'hits' or page reviews each month.

As a result of the introduction of a GOJ Chronic Disease Prevention Program in 2008, soy in the diet has received a lot of highly positive attention related to the dietary and nutritional benefits that may help reduce the risk of "metabolic syndrome." ASA-IM Japan is working to increase awareness and the consumption of the soy foods by the food service industry in Japan by capitalizing on the current surge in soy food interest. Our objective is to enhance an awareness of foods make from U.S. Soybeans as well as promote the utilization-consumption of soy based foods and food products by the food service industry in Japan.

WHEN: February 9 (Mon) – March 10 (Tue)
WHERE: 15 Restaurants in the great Tokyo Metropolitan Area (Incl. Japanese-style bar and Lounge)

WHAT: Menu's featuring a diversity of recipes and foods made with U.S. Soybeans
